Looking for more ways to be involved with the conference?

Share your stories

In preparation for the EFAO Member Recognition Ceremony happening at this year’s conference banquet dinner on Friday night, we are compiling member stories about other EFAO farmers.  Feel free to send along a few appreciative anecdotes about other EFAO farmers you’ve worked with, learned from, looked up to or been inspired by as mentors.  Whether touching, funny, inspiring, commemorative or otherwise, send along your stories if there’s a member you’d like everyone to appreciate with you! conference@efao.ca

Contribute to the Silent Auction

We’re running the Silent Auction again this year and looking for contributions (preserves? tools? mentorship? bumper crop of squash?)  Proceeds will go towards supporting EFAO’s educational programs and services.  Let us know if you have an item or service you would like to contribute (conference@efao.ca) or fill in this online form.

Sponsor a new farmer

Consider contributing to the Conference Bursary Fund.  Support the next generation of growers and pass on your passion for ecological agriculture! $175 provides a full conference pass for a new farmer (farming for five years or less.) Contact katie@efao.ca or visit the conference website to find out more.

Trade your books

Do you have any unused farming or food books taking up space on your bookshelf or in your attic?  Looking for some more inspiration and new ideas to explore this winter?  Bring along your old books and trade them for others.  We will have a table in the conference Trade Show for book swapping: take a book, leave a book, or donate a book.

Swap your seeds!

Saved some seeds this year?  Have extra seeds from this season you don’t plan to use in 2016? Come to Seeds of Diversity’s table in the seed section of the Trade Show and swap your seeds with other farmers and locally-grown heirloom varieties of seed grown by farmers and gardeners across the country!
