dsc_0225_24372806312_oThe 2018 Ecological Farmers of Ontario Conference will be taking place from December 4th to 6th in London, Ontario.  In addition to the pre-conference Farmer-led Research Program Symposium and Workshop, this year, the Eastern Canadian Organic Seed Growers Network (ECOSGN) will be hosting their annual gathering during the conference as well.

Once again, the conference will bring ecological farmers (and supporters) together from across the province to share ideas, learn from experts and from each other, and of course, celebrate the incredible milestones we have achieved. The vision for this conference aligns with EFAO’s core mandate “to support and promote a vibrant community of ecological farmers through education, training and knowledge sharing.”

We are expecting over 300 attendees to attend over 30 intermediate to advanced level workshops on horticulture, livestock, field crops, seed saving, soil health, and more. We will also have a two-day Trade Show, farm tours, and many opportunities for networking and socializing.

What participants are saying about the Ecological Farmers of Ontario Conference:

“Last year’s conference delivered on what it promised: an inspiring and educational ecological growers’ conference right here in Ontario.  I walked away with new ideas, new friends, and new perspectives on ecological agriculture. Can’t wait to be inspired again!”

“[I liked] the producer-focused, farmer-focused nature of the event as a whole and the exceptionally high quality of the presentations.”

“We are just starting out. It was a wonderful experience to be with folks who were so encouraging and supportive. How amazing to discover such a large community of people with shared values. We delighted in the experience, learned much, made great connections with new friends and mentors…and can hardly wait until next year’s conference!!”

“Thank you!! This was a fun, well organized event and we are grateful for all of the effort your team has put into making this possible.”

It was my first time at an EFAO conference and it will not be my last. It was truly rewarding.”

This conference was very uplifting. Took away so much. Loved seeing the passion everyone brought to agriculture.”

What you and your team should hang your hat on is the meals and food.  As a farmer and someone who has built my reputation on doing authentic events, EFAO and the team that put it together should be very proud of the food component for the conference.”
